Biography

My name is Christina, and I have been a proud resident of this township for over 5 years. As an active member of the community, I have dedicated my time to advocating for the needs of our neighbors and working towards a better future for all. With a background in small business, real estate, property management, and an ability to collaborate with local officials, I have developed a deep understanding of the issues we face and the solutions we need. I am passionate about making our township a safer, more affordable, and more inclusive place for everyone.

As a candidate for Benton Township Supervisor, I am dedicated to addressing critical community issues and promoting positive change. My campaign focuses on enhancing public safety by ensuring our police and fire departments receive the attention and resources they need to effectively serve and protect our community.

I support the development of affordable housing and revising zoning laws to encourage new developments, ensuring that everyone has a place to call home. Community engagement is a cornerstone of my platform, with plans to host regular township meetings and increase public involvement in decision-making by allowing members of the community to be involved from where they’re at via ZOOM.

Additionally, I aim to boost economic development by attracting new businesses, improving infrastructure, and creating job training programs. Environmental stewardship is also a priority, with initiatives to enhance green spaces and promote sustainable practices. Lastly, I am committed to supporting education and youth programs by partnering with local schools and advocating for after-school activities and mentorship opportunities. Together, we can build a safer, more prosperous, and engaged Benton Township.

Affordable Housing

Our township faces a significant shortage of affordable housing. To address this, I propose reconsidering zoning and ordinances to allow for new developments that cater to low and middle-income families. By increasing the availability of affordable housing, we can ensure that all residents have a safe and comfortable place to live.

Enhancing Law Enforcement

The rise in property crimes such as vandalism and destruction has become a major concern. I advocate for the implementation of more effective law enforcement strategies and community policing initiatives. By working closely with our local police and community members, we can reduce crime rates and create a safer environment for everyone.

Promoting Bipartisanship

In order to achieve meaningful progress, bipartisanship is essential. I believe in putting policy over party, and I am committed to working with all members of the community, regardless of political affiliation, to find common ground and implement solutions that benefit us all.
